About Artemas T. Jones
My name is Artemas T. Jones, and I bring everyone greetings from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ by means of the Holy Spirit. Although my birthplace is Honolulu, Hawaii, I call Augusta, Georgia home. In Fall 2008, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Augusta State University (now Augusta University), and I have been employed at Augusta University’s Information Technology department at various IT positions for over sixteen years. In August 2023, I received a departmental transfer from IT to Center for Instructional Innovation’s (CII’s) Department of Instructional Support. I am blessed to have a beautiful wife and daughter in my life who I refer to as my gorgeous girls. I enjoy reading, writing, acting, drawing, singing, and other hobbies and activities. Most of all, I pray daily to be an instrument of blessing and a gift of genuine, mutual support to every person I encounter.
Theophilus is my middle name (or my distinguished middle initial “T.”). It means a “friend of God” or a “lover of God.” So, if it seems that I am so bent on speaking and writing about God — it is literally in my character’s DNA. I am far, far from perfect. However, I love Jesus, and He perfects me in spite of me. Although I am a Jones by blood, the Holy Spirit lives in me. So, the Holy Spirit who lives in me is closer to me than my blood family. I love being a Jones, and I thank Jesus for both my blood and spiritual families.
