What irritated you this morning or mourning?
Question: What was one thing that irritated you this morning?
When I did depression, I would wake up nearly every morning grouchy. I would feel defeated and discouraged. I would feel hopeless. I did not want to face another day. Mornings were rough. I lacked the desire to even try. I would take a walk and cry the whole time. I wanted to give up on life and just hide. Just about everything irritated me in the morning. Do you ever get irritated in the morning or mourning?
It does not have to be that way. I no longer get up grouchy. Your normal state should be happy, healthy, joyful, fearless, loving, alive.

Be loose with your dreams
Nearly every impulse we have is to be tight with our ideas, feelings, desires, hopes and dreams. This can make transformation difficult. On one hand you want to tell the whole world about your exciting idea and plans for a better you. On the other hand you are afraid to tell people in case it does not happen. But it is important to not keep your desires secret. It is important to fight through your natural instinct and tell people. Why? You need support. You need encouragement. It is easier to work on self-improvement with a circle of friends.

The coffee challenge
I know it can be hard to ask for help. It can be uncomfortable. Introducing the coffee challenge:
Go to a coffee shop or fast food place and make a simple order and ask for 10% off. Don’t say anything else. The whole point is to feel uncomfortable. Once you see nothing bad will happen, you will gain confidence in asking for things that are uncomfortable. This can include getting therapy, asking a friend or family to listen to you or having someone help you with something.
If you get turned down for the 10% discount, just say “Okay”. But smile and nod knowing you found the courage to ask, and nothing bad happened. It is also practice in getting rejected or having a setback. You have to try even if you fail. You won’t fail every single time. You will have wins.

Lose the straight jacket
Leaving your comfort zone. There is an illusion of taking a risk. You may look foolish, be judged, or it won’t work. But not taking risk, leaving your comfort zone is like wearing a straight jacket on your potential. Embracing risk, fear, and rejection gives you the power to transform your life. You have to stop avoiding a better life and be open to receive. I know that can be scary. But you can move past that. I did, and you can too.
Remember I told you to you need to embrace setbacks. Setbacks only happen when you try something new. Setbacks tell you that you need to make an adjustment so that you can do what you set out to do. As you proceed, you will have fewer and fewer setbacks and more wins. The key is to desensitize yourself to the pain by repeatedly exposing yourself to it. Embrace the discomfort and use it as your compass.

Chutzpah, Moxie, Nerve
Chutzpah, Moxie, Nerve, Audacity, or the don’t give a crap approach to life. is knowing what you want in life and you go for it. It is endless tenacity. You will do what it takes. It is asking for what you want despite the fear.

Setbacks
Setbacks.
Love setbacks! Collect them like treasures, and do not be discouraged by them. I know that makes no sense. It means you are trying. There can be a bit of experimentation when you transform. You won’t hit the bullseye with every step that you take. But with every setback, you try again. You will get wins.
When you have a setback, remind yourself that you are one step closer to finding the win for you. When a setback comes, say Who Cares? It is leading you to where you want to go. Distraction
Focus your mind on what matters. Many people struggle to meet their first goal because they are so focused on their final goal. It is better to focus on each step you need to take and take each step one at a time. What can you do to improve this week Today? Right now?

Start. Experiment. Don’t overthink.
People dream of being happy and fulfilled. They dream about feeling free and not trapped in an unhappy life. Why do they dream? They dream because they are afraid to start. They want to make sure they are doing the right thing. They want it to be perfect. They worry about HOW. But when you need a better life, Now is what is important. Sometimes we have to start before we are ready. Why? Because you may never feel ready.
Overthinking is a big block for change. You can’t overthink and act later. Thinking before action is merely speculation. You can’t really understand something until you have done it. You can’t plan your way to confidence. Now not How.
